The California Pizza Kitchen KLCC

Last Saturday, three of my friends and me went to the California Pizza Kitchen at KLCC. We waited for a while until someone came and took our order. We ordered Tortilla with artichoke and spinach cheese dip, chicken pizza and tomato basil pizza. The food was served in a timely manner. However, after serving the food, no one came back to us and ask if everything was all right. Infact, they only refilled the drinks only once. Instead they can always come back to us and pour more drinks since it was free-refill. Anyway, the service was not really good. The food was good, the pizza had a nice crust and crunchy.

If you dine in a restaurant in the US, after serving the food, the waiter will always come back to you and ask if everything is ok, or if we need to order any other items and such.

Here in Malaysia, the service is just plain cold, no additional warmth that I can feel in the service in most restaurants in the country. They waiter just want to serve the food and leave the table. The element of service is crucial for a successful restaurant operations. If the food is good, but no fine service is offered, overall the service is considered a failure from the guests point of view.
